Pokemon Box Theme for iOS5 (Also Compatible with iOS 4)

Requirements:

Jailbroken iDevice running iOS 4 or 5
Winterboard (for theming purposes)
Springtomize (or alternatively, no dock theme and "no dock reflection" tweak)
an SSH program, such as Cyberduck or WinSCP

Instructions:

1.To turn your boring old iPhone or iPod Touch into a shiny new pokedex, you're going to need to make sure your device is jailbroken, first and foremost. Otherwise, this pidgey aint getting off the ground. The instructions on doing so are relatively easy to find online, so to save room in this tutorial, I will let you find them yourself.

2.Now that you're all set and jailbroken, make sure winterboard is installed, along with the "No Dock Reflection" Tweak from BigBoss repo. This stops the dock from looking wonky, and is crucial in keeping the pixely goodness.

3. In your SSH tool of choice (once again, I shall leave the SSH tutorial to you, my astute reader ;-] ) navigate to the folder /private/var/stash/Themes

(There may or may not be numbers after "Themes." This is entirely normal, and it is still the folder you want)

4. Drop the PokemonBox.theme folder I included in this .rar into /private/var/stash/Themes

5. Fire up winterboard, and select PokemonBox and Transparent Dock theme, and select them both. Make sure PokemonBox is above Transparent Dock.

6. Touch "Winterboard," and you'll be back at the main Winterboard menu. From here, Touch "Advanced (For Themers)", and once you're inside, touch "Optimize themes" and when prompted, touch "Optimize"

6. Touch "Winterboard," and return to the main Winterboard menu,

Hit respiring, and…Poof!

iPhone forgot default theme…and…
iPhone learned PokeBox.theme
*cue music*

Now, for those of you who the icons I included didn't quite cut it, fear not! You too can be a Pokemon master and add even more custom icons…er…Pokemon to your box.

It's actually really simple…just visit this page:

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_by_National_Pok%C3%A9dex_number

Here, you can find the mini-sprites for every Pokemon, so you can customize to your heart's content. To make them compatible with the theme, simply save any sprite and open them in Photoshop. Make sure interpolation is set to "Nearest Neighbor" or "None" (in Gimp.) Scale the sprite by 400%, and poof, you're done.

Once the image looks nice, rename it to the title of the App AS IT APPEARS ON YOUR DEVICE, with the extension .png (Instagram.png) and drag it into the Icons folder of the theme.

Once the custom icons are on your device, they may not initially show up. This is fixed by opening Winterboard, touching "Advanced (For Themers), and touching "Optimize Themes." After this runs, respiring and you should be good to go!

Good luck out there! Like Professor Oak says, there is a time and a place for everything, and the time for this theme is NOW! Enjoy~

PS: As an extra goodie, I've included a custom ringtone. Remember, "There's no hanging up on a trainer battle" ;-]
